The Process of Healing

•

Take all the time that you need to heal… There’s no rush in healing.

You have the rights and all of the Universe’s permission to take all the time that you need to heal your wounds.

There’s absolutely, absolutely, no rush in the process of healing.

The Universe of time will guide you towards healing, and so, time will heal all the pain and wounds.

– Kallivanter

It was only when BabyG made her transition, then I realised how insensitive it is for us to tell someone else who had just recently experienced a pain/loss/suffering to just move on and stop dwelling into the pain and sadness.

Even though we said those words out of our love and concerns for the other person, but we can’t (and we shouldn’t) expect someone to just disregard any of their emotions and move on with their lives as if nothing had happened.

We have to understand that everyone deals with grieve and sadness differently.

And how we can truly show our love and concerns, is just simply by being there with them, be their listening ear, making sure that they are not having any extreme thoughts/actions, and just wait patiently for them to get better and better.

Don’t let anyone else rush you into feeling better.
Take your time to process what had happened and all of the emotions that you are feeling.

It is okay, not to be okay.

– Kallivanter

Instead of chucking your emotions aside and pretend that you’re alright, just let your emotions flow.
Maybe you don’t want to let your loved ones worry;
Maybe you don’t want others to keep asking if you’re alright;
Maybe you are used to being cheerful and happy all the time;
Maybe you are used to always putting up a strong front… etc, etc.

If it is hard to suppress the pain and sadness, just let it out.
Cry out loud,
If it helps to relieve you even for just a bit or a while.
Stare into space,
If you don’t want to feel or think about anything else.

Do anything that you feel like doing so that you can make yourself feel a little better, one step at a time.
Just don’t do anything extreme, because your life is too precious for those who love you.

Learn to have the courage to face your emotions and feel them;
Learn to acknowledge that they are part of you and they are what makes you human;
Learn to release them instead of clinging onto them which will stop you from propelling forward.

– Kallivanter

Sure, you can take all the time that you need to heal and not be alright for a period.

But bear in mind, not to let yourself dwell too deep into the negative emotions that will lead you astray and stay stuck for a long time and refuse to get out of it.
Always be mindful of how you feel so that you can catch yourself before you go towards the extreme side of the negative emotions.

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right… and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

– Marilyn Monroe

Better things are always waiting ahead of us.
But it is only when we are in the right place, state and frequency, can the better things come to us. Because it is only then, we are ready to receive the good things that the Universe wants to give us.

So,
Have faith and trust in the process.

Remember,
It’s okay, not to be okay.
